Lithuanian baritone, Jevgenij Chrebtov, completed his MA in Vocal Performance at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2009. In the years 2004-2006 he participated in the Opera Studio programme with Professor V. Noreika and Professor V. Viržonis at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Mr. Chrebtov has successfully participated in international and national singing competitions: he won the Third Prize at the Z. Paulauskas Competition in 2001, a diploma at the Z. Paulauskas Competition in 2002 and was bestowed the First Prize in the same competition the following year. In 2010 Mr. Chrebtov became a winner of the F. Chaliapin’s Singing Competition Golosa nad Pliosom and in 2012, he won the First Prize in Tiit Kuzik’s Singing Competition in Estonia.

From 2012 to 2014 Jevgenij Chrebtov was a soloist at the Kaunas State Musical Theatre where he made his debut with the role of Falke in operetta Die Fledermaus. He frequently guested at the Theatre Vanemuine in Tartu.

In 2013 Jevgenij Chrebtov made his debut at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in the title part in Eugene Onegin. In 2014 he came back with the parts of Don Carlos in Ernani, Escamillo and Count Almaviva. Since 2015 he has been a soloist at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

In 2015 Mr. Chrebtov participated in the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre’s tour, where he performed the role of Count Almaviva at the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv. In 2017, he made his debut on the stage of the Estonian National Opera with the title role in Le nozze di Figaro. He came back to the venue with the part of Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor.

In the 2017/2018 season Jevgenij Chrebtov performed at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre with the parts of Rodrigo, Count Almaviva, Lescaut, the title part in Eugene Onegin and, for the first time, Giorgio Germont in La traviata. With these parts he has returned to the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in the 2018/2019 season, adding the the roles of Sharpless, Cournet’s Double in Onutė Narbutaitė’s Cournet and Jonas Basanavičius in Gintaras Sodeika’s Post Futurum. The artist also debuted in Poland at the Opening Gala of the XXIX Mozart Festival in Warsaw.

Apart from his regular performances at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, in the 2019/2020 season the artist will appear as a guest at the Theatre Vanemuine in Tartu in the roles of Escamillo and Onegin.

Jevgenij Chrebtov has collaborated with such conductors as: Stefan Plewniak, Pierre Vallet, Cyril Diederich, Paul Mägi, Giampaolo Bisanti, Gianluca Marciano, Denis Vlasenko, Modestas Pitrėnas, Gintaras Rinkevičius, Robertas Šervenikas, Vytautas Lukočius, Martynas Staškus and Julius Geniušas.
