Lech Napierała graduated with honors from the University of Music in Vienna in the accompaniment class for vocalists (specialization in song) by David Lutz. Earlier, he graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, where he studied with professors Krzysztof Jabłoński, Andrzej Stefański and Barbara Halska.

He has performed in such prestigious concert halls as: Viennese Musikverein and Konzerthaus, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, National Philharmonics in Warsaw, Berlin, Sofia, Ljubljana, Bucharest, NOSPR in Katowice, Polish Radio Concert Studio, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Polish National Opera, the Ljubljana National Opera and many others. He has performed in Europe, Asia and the USA. He specializes in performing songs, and also is a valued chamber musician, partnering on stage with artists such as Tomasz Konieczny, Olga Pasiecznik, Małgorzata Walewska, Monika Bohinec, Aida Garifullina, Cigdem Soyarslan, Dorottya Lang, Paul Schweinester, Krzysztof Chorzelski, Gerard Wyss, Maciej Pikulski and many others.

Lech Napierała is a professor at the Academy of Music in Krakow, where he teaches chamber music and accompaniment. He is also a guest lecturer at the Opera Academy at the Polish National Opera, where he regularly conducts song courses for singers and pianists.

His phonographic output includes albums recorded for Universal, Signum, NIFC, DUX and Anaklasis. The last albums on which he is partnering with Tomasz Konieczny are the recording of F. Schubert’s Winterreise to words by Stanisław Barańczak, an album with songs and sonnets by Romuald Twardowski, as well as the album Between Death & Love with songs by S. Rachmaninoff and M. Mussorgski, which is a recording of a recital at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw.
